For Sale: Ultralight Carbon Fibre GMM Quad Stick Kits

Hi Guys just a quick review on the Sticks.

Just started using the GMM stalking sticks and I’m very impressed with them. They weigh only around 650 g, so they’re extremely light to carry during a long stalk. Despite the low weight they are very steady on the rifle, giving a solid rest for standing shots. My Viper flex is 1.6 kg.

They’re also quick and easy to assemble.

The only improvement I’d suggest is that the bottom ends could do with small spikes, as that would give a bit more grip on softer ground.

Overall a very good bit of kit and well worth a look if you want lightweight but stable stalking sticks.

Thanks @Ukhunter that was very fast! It would be interesting to see a picture of your set. I'm assuming that's 650g for the 5leg takedown set?
Yes, it's the 5leg set, but not yet the take-down version. As soon as I go out i will take some pictures. The Carbon is so strong i expect i can gralloch a muntjac on it like i did with the Viper flex.
Please say it was well spent on good equipment.

Ah perfect!

Yes, definitely well spent 😁

Due to life getting in the way I hadn't had chance to test the 3d printed Pauperflex quadsticks in the field yet. Well on Wednesday I finally got round to using the Pauperflex quadsticks (with 5th leg) that @takbok has designed. I printed them at home (hence the plastic is in grey as i had some suitable material left over). Followed the instructions that Rory sent me to put the kit together and was all very straight forward. Also purchased the carbon fibre poles from Easy Composites which work well.

As you can see some of the photos are taken in my back garden and then a couple of them are whilst in use out in the field. I even managed to gralloch a muntjac from them which worked fantastically, really solid. I was surprised how much lighter and warmer they were to carry than my Mjoelner aluminium sticks which I am also a big fan of. The Pauperflex however, are now my go to. Great set of carbon sticks for a fraction of the price of shop bought ones. Very happy :)DSC05786.webp
