Please visit the above at the Stalking show. They are on the balcony in the main hall and get tested. Blood test and questionnaire takes 20 mins and you will be contributing to an important study on Lyme disease, Tick borne encephalitis , Looping ill virus and Frabciselka tularensis.
Lovely helpful staff and DIY blood sampling or phlebotomist to take your blood sample.

Visited Sunday. Will be interesting to get the results of the blood test.

I did the questionnaire but really disappointed that they couldn’t get any blood for a sample after three attempts and they gave up. Was really hoping to understand if there was any indication why I am always tired.

Did you try the phlebotomist?
That's how I had my blood taken
If you contact them you may be able to arrange for a blood sample to be taken.

waiting for the results.... the questions made me wonder... as far as I know never had a tick bite, but some of the symptoms rang bells, but are also side effects of some of my meds....

I was keen to get a test as I have had issue twice after tick bits that have resulted in a course of antibiotics, however both years I had been bitten by ticks in the uk and in South Africa, so could possibly of been tick bit fever not Lymes.
What ever I had was not pleasant.

I'd be interested to know if the Show organisers invited the UK Health & Security Agency or was there a request to attend from the Government Department in question?

I asked the same question while having blood taken. From what I gathered, they're an existing team that have been travelling to recognised lyme disease hotspots, thetford, new forest, west country etc, where they've been performing community screening in village halls and the like. Someone suggested to them that the Stalking Show would present an opportunity to obtain samples from a section of the wider community who are likely to be exposed to tick bites.

The lad I spoke to said they were on track for over 1,000 samples by the end of Sunday.

This is the first show they'd attended. I suggested it may be worth doing the same at some of the big agricultural shows as a lot of the attendees would have tick exposure through work or recreation.

Yes, it was three failed attempts by two different people. I can only have it taken from the left arm which has had many cannulas fitted following an accident so the veins are difficult to find.
I have some symptoms that would have been good to understand if there could be a link to the tiredness and pain.
The irony is that the accident happened on UKHSA premises.

Also had my conformation email today for the deer sampling kits , Glad I found them on Sunday to get a test removed 30 plus tics so far this year,
