CVA Scout/Bergara BA13 - how similar are they?

I've recently got a fresh slot granted for a .308 to run along side the 6.5se and I'm liking the idea of the Bergara BA13,

I'd already read about how they were basically the same as the CVA Scout and it seemed like it was basically Bergara for Europe and CVA for US, but talking to local RFD yesterday he was suggesting that the Bergara is being phased out and that soon (if not already) the CVA Scout will be available over here and suggested at a slightly lower price point.

Interestingly, during our chat, I asked about barrel swapping with the CVA and whilst he wasn't totally sure yet, it was something he was currently trying to find out

Looking on Edgar Brother's website, it does seem like that is the case (though they do still list a couple of BA13models) and there are still a few RFD's suggesting they have new BA13's available or can still order them.

If anyone has had chance to compare them side by side, is there any real difference between the two or is it just as simple as a rebadging of one to the other?

I asked at the Bergara stand at the Stalking Show if the BA13 was being discontinued and the guy said no, just coming in under the CVA tag, looking at the website it’s essentially the same rifle with a few tweaks. Im sure the barrels aren’t supposed to be interchangeable.
I would try both stock variants, i much preferred the thumbhole to the sporter, love mine!
