Tikka M595 & T3 bolt knobs

Quick enquiry, think I may know the answer but...

Does anyone know whether a bolt handle from a T3 bolt will fit the bolt of an M595 please? Looking for a quick & simple way to add a larger ball on one of my M595s.

TIA

As far as I'm aware the 595 has the same bolt handle dims as the 590, which has different dovetail dims and angle.

I could look at getting one made to fit but I'm not sure how much demand there would be for it.

Thanks but I'll see what I've got in the spares box & hopefully get a ball fitted by modifying a M595 handle.

I had my M595 bolt handle machined and had one fitted, best thing I ever did, work was done by Alan Maughn who I think has packed in, on a skinflint diy theme I bought a load of cheap plastic ones and fitted them to air rifles and rimfires, they work but lack the refinement

One thing to have in mind with those is to take them off if you get rained on. When I bought one of my 590s it had one fitted and had trapped water in it, pitting the bolt handle quite badly.

That’s a very relevant comment… the rifle this will be going on is one that will get used when it rains! Think it might be back to Plan A & fit a hard plastic ball on the end of one like the others I’ve got.

I have a spare one here if you want it for machining? I’m pretty sure it was replaced by a T3 one which worked fine. It was 15-20 years ago though.
