1913 Springfield or M17 Enfield

Have a slot for a 30:06, target related only not into hunting thinking about a Springfield 1913 or perhaps a M17 any thoughts please.

I think the M17 is a better rifle, faster to operate and cheaper.

My local RFD has a corker in stock. He was pinging the 900yd target with some regularity at Chobham Ridge (Bisley) with the target sights recently when he test fired it.

RIFLE

If I had any space on my ticket I'd have had it off of him.

I bought a P15 in a target stock, diopter sights and chambered in 7.62 for £250.

It’s ridiculously accurate thus far, out to 1000yds

I’ve shot both and I had a Springfield 03A3, it was a lovely thing. Very handsome rifle and I think it’s faster and easier to operate than the P17, which feels heavier, more cumbersome and more clunky to operate. Both are very accurate, P17 has a slight edge here. If I were to choose, I’d go for the 1903 again. In my opinion it is the iconic bolt action .30-06 service rifle
