Since I sold my much loved .17 (big mistake) I am finding my.22 with subsonic is having to stretch it's legs just a bit too much.
Just wanted to know if there are any recommendations for a .22 HV which does not spray them about.
Tried some old Expediters I had and it was like firing a shotgun at the target.

Not really. Winchester lazer maybe the better of them that I’ve used.

I’m hankering for an hmr again tbh

I shoot more HV than i do subsonic ( have done for at least 5 years or so . Good stuff is important just as it is with subs
With all RF its how your rifle likes it , take a box of a few kinds just like you would buying subs . Your trajectory curve has lets say 20 to 30 yards flatter and they hit a lot harder
The rest of the world hunt with HV more often than Subsonic

Try eley and rws HV. Forget the hyper 22 ammo.
Standard velocity is an improvement over subsonic ammo as well.
I made a simple tool to chop the round point off them.

CCI Velocitors.

Very accurate in my gun (Cz455), and punchy.

However! I found that I couldn’t get them to group when shooting with a moderator. Moderator off, and they’re more accurate than I am.

I had some eley club recently and used the above tool to truncate the nose.
They definitely have more legs than subsonics with just the occasional slight crack. Very accurate. I was shooting at vermin upto 200yds.

I have been using SK HV hollow points for years and have found them the best going in a Brno set up just for them with a Hawke vantage HV reticle scope.
Not seen them about for awhile though.

I noticed that in my hawke 22 subsonic reticle which starts at 50yds the 50yds subsonic ret is on for most HV ammunition at 100yds.

Like Smellydog I have found that most HV ammo is as near as damn-it right on target at 100yds when the scope is set up for subsonics at 50yds. It might be off by a tad, but I'm more than likely to wobble a tad and a half anyway so I can't see the difference
