1000yds target shooting training/courses

Is there anywhere in the UK I can go to get experience & tuition to shoot out to 1000yds??
I am fairly competent with rifle from .22lr to .243 and hold a DSC1 but rarely shoot more than 200yds.

Orion in wales or Bisley are highly recommended, there is also the FCSA at warcop

The GB F Class Association run a course in Feb/March each year. Contact them and ask what their plans are for early 2027.

Another option is to come along to a .22 rimfire match - Events Calendar 2025 - Long Range .22

A friend of mine and I occasionally book a day with Kevin at Bunky’s near Jamaica Inn in Cornwall

You can shoot from 100m to one mile

Kevin is knowledgeable and offers guidance

Speak to @Edinburgh Rifles. They have a range in the Pentlands close to Edinburgh where they shoot out to a mile, with a series of targets from 100m. They usually shoot last sunday in the month. Coaching is provided by individuals who are extremely good long range shooters and were trained in the military.
