The one shown a week or so ago in this thread...
The Serbian style Chef's knife is a very handy kitchen tool, I use one every day, great for chopping and dicing and then transporting said chopped goods to the pan or pot.
Traditionally they get a 'Brut de Forge' finish to the flats of the blade, this particular finish is one that I apply during the HT process.
The finish (to my eye) looks very attractive but also it helps to mitigate any vacuum type effect thus preventing food sticking to the blade during use (I now use this finish on most of the culinary knives that I make).
SF100 stainless blade steel at 2.5mm stock, traditionally carbon type steels would have been used, I prefer the stainless.
Around 150mm (6") cutting edge.
Handle scales are book matched Leadwood, the grain is subtle but deep and appealing, the handle bolts in this instance are brass, maintaining the more traditional aesthetics of the knife.
It would make a cracking
present, imagine that, you can buy a custom knife, gift it to your partner AND get to use it every day
Do yourself a favour and check out this fella on Instagram for delightful footage of a Serbian in use
£345 all in please, ready to go, can be with you (or them) next day.
I joked yesterday that I will always listen to sensible offers from existing customers too, well that isn't really a joke, if we have dealt before then I appreciate that so please try me.
