Morning all.
Could anyone tell me where I can get a replacement bolt/ screw from thats missing in the photo.
I've briefly searched the web this morning and given up. I've got the flue bug and following web searches is not helping 🙄.

I think it’s this one: Number 79

The info should enable you to source one 👍🏻

if its a bedding bolt its most likly a M6x0.75mm pitch (M6fine) you could try the non standard socket screw company in birmingham but you might have to by a box....https://www.nssocketscrews.com/

please note the parts diagram lists the length and size as standard off the shelf items not the fine pitch equivilent, however beware these usually end up in the fine pitch size...

I am curious as to what its function is.
I purchased this rifle from a forum member about four years ago. I didn't realise the screw/bolt was missing.
After mentioning it to the seller I was told it didn't matter which I disagreed.
I now need to use the rifle hence the search and question regarding function.
I've been using my trusty Winchester mod 52 LR but at 65 years old I need to retire it.

Sorry Winchester is a model 69

I used to have a 1517 and all that screw did is keep the bottom metal in place when the action is removed.

Were it my rifle, I’d want another as it would bug me, but I doubt it’s absence will have any real consequence.

Thanks for the reply Andy👍
