Hi All,
I'm currently running a .300 WSM, using 130Gr TTSXs going 3650 FPS, however I'm looking for a bullet I can carry as a backup for any longer range shots that may need taking on deer (in exceptional circumstances).
I have looked at the 200Gr ELD-X which according to quick load should be doing roughly 2850-2950FPS with RS70, however having looked at the stability calculator with the 1-11" twist barrel the bullet is showing a not optimally stable, however it may be usable.
The rifle is a factory Tikka barrelled action, with a 24" barrel, has anyone got any experience with the bullets in a similar twist barrel, have you found it to be accurate or would it need a 1-10" or faster as recommended?
Many thanks,
Ben
