Toyota Hilux HL3 2.5lt manual on a 2013 plate, 181000 miles on it, FSH, one previous owner, I’ve owned it since 2016/25000 miles. Never wanted for anything. About to have its service and timing belt done next week. Chassis been wax-oiled periodically over the last 10 years, chassis is in great condition. Alloys and tyres all in good condition. BFG tyres with lots of tread on them (new BFG on as a spare) Always had seat covers on, carpets and cloth in great condition. Original Toyota mats always had rubber ones on top.
The majority of the miles she’s done have been on a motorway commute of around 80 miles a day. I use it on estate stone roads too, so technically off road. It doesn’t tow much and certainly never had the guts pulled out of it. Had a new clutch probably 7 or 8 years ago. I had it raptor coated on the lower half of the bodywork in order to stop stone chips and corrosion. On the whole, this has worked well.
N&J Samson Truework canopy with interior LED lights - colour coded and in flat aluminium rather than chequer plate. Secure, lockable storage area. Really good bits of kit and versatile. These are around £3000 now. Speak to anybody who has had one and I’m sure they wouldn’t be without it.
I’ve not tried to cover anything up in these pics, I’ve given it a wash and want any potential buyer to see what it is. A used, but well cared for pickup.
The bad bits. The corrosion on the rear quarters and the sills. It’s surface corrosion but think it would benefit from new sills at some point. The offside side step brackets are loose/damaged and probably need replacing at the same time you do the sills.
Overall, it’s an honest truck, mainly motorway miles, always looked after mechanically and aesthetically, comes with a sought after rear canopy.
