22 centerfire, which one and why?

The .220 swift was extremely popular over here in Ireland for years. I had one myself, a remington heavy barrel. The rimmed round was odd, but easy to deal with once you get used to it. But if i had need of a .22 centrefire again, i'd go for the .223.

I picked the 223 over the triple as ammo is easier to get factory and a wider range. Home load mine with cfe223 and 55g vmax ragged hole at 200 and then some. Easy to load for, easy round to shoot and works a treat on Fox!

.222 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall day long.

just does what is says on the tin, never had accuracy problems with any .222 I have used, that can't be said for a couple of .223 I had over the years.

bob.
