In Austria, the cartridge is still legal for shots on chamois, as far as I know. Says Ron Spooner.
Actually it was made illegal years ago as my neighbour bought a used 5.6x57 from a Munich gun shop for his long gone dad as they were being dumped by the Austrians big time so it is say at least 25 years ago as I have been here 22 years and never knew him.
The 5.6x57 has brass thickness of over 20 thou compared to normal brasses 13 thou. I load it for him and my good pal over here so have studied it a lot. It need to be used with 65-75 grain bullets.
Sat here at 4 am typing away after what felt like a Covid slam for me & my partner all this week.
