In my opinion 28gauge simply doesn’t have enough volume capacity for steel. Bismuth yes but for steel the practical ceiling is about 16-20 bore

In my opinion 28gauge simply doesn’t have enough volume capacity for steel. Bismuth yes but for steel the practical ceiling is about 16-20 bore

especially for shot size required to cleanly kill live quarry with steel shot, 28ga and .410 are being used with 2mm tungsten based shot with good efficacy.
