Well then, head now settled (as well as can be expected when on strong steroids), by simple extrapolation from those very interesting figures and assuming a common 60 yards zero and identical speed the .22 40 grainer will drop 6.99“ at 105 yards, the 210gns .308 only 5.8” and reducing weight to 168gns will be 5.07-6.5“ at pretty much the same distance. The much greater energy of the .308 is as expected but quite “striking” showing 494 and 378 ft lbs respectively - more than enough to do some serious damage at that range!
Quite fascinating outcomes and a lot of food for thought for my subsonic 308 reloading. Thanks again for the data 25S.
