357 Magnum Handgun

A friend not on here has just been granted a 357M or 38 Special by West Mids Police.
Does anyone know of any section 5 dealers in the West Mids area or near that can supply a suitable pistol or revolver. There are others i know of further afield but not any nearby.

You can have them on section 5 for special purpous not just for blating because you can!!

With the ban, i went Long Barreled Revolver which was that or nothing and allowed me to carry on my enjoyment to a degree

The above is reduced to 2 shot for Humane Dispatch !!!!

Special purpose? i get humane despatch bit. I have space for 357 on my ticket so does that mean i can get the above for humane dispatch. i know guys who are called out for this by Police but i assumed they would use rifle or shotgun. (assume = ass of u and me)

Steyer, people who do a lot of stalking can sometimes get a pistol for humane dispatch. The thinking is a big, slow pistol round is less dangerous at close range than a second shot with a high powered rifle.

Most people who do the police HD will use a .22 or shotgun. The .22 is a favourite because it's quiet and rarely exits the animal.

Most people on here with good reason...ie being a member of a club where Long Barreled Revolvers are used could get a .357 on their ticket...

Getting a slot for Humane Dispatch might be a bit diferent tho depending on your licencing force....

357 lever action was what I asked for and they even granted a mod for it hence I need to do some digging as i have never filled the slot due to cash flow and as I only was going to use it on hole punching and I can't eat paper so never been in a rush. I was actually goin to get it taken off. But if I can get it for humane dispatch then ill keep it on. The club I'm in have real long barrelled pistols with a extension on the grip.

That's the sort. I just don't see that as a pistol with the barrel length and attachment on grip. Also I will read the locations better. Thanks for pointing it out.

Small technical point there Steyer- clubs can't have LBR's only individuals, which is probably what you meant to say.

How does one shoot such a thing? Does the wire extension brace against the forearm??~Muir
