Starting to look for a safari rifle in .375 H&H.

Does anyone have one gathering dust in their cabinet they're looking to sell?

Looking at everything from BRNOs to Paker Hales to Sauers... And everything in between...

Does it have to be a 375 or would a .416 work for you? Some good ones at Holts

Lots of good options out there. A safari rifle is one you need to be able to depend on with your life as your PH could always have issues with theirs at the moment of truth. Tried and tested makes include Winchester M70 (Pre-64, Classic, and current), Ruger M77 (H&H and Ruger), CZ/Brno, Interarms/Zastava, Parker Hale, etc.

I have a couple of CZ 550’s (left hand) that shoot incredibly well with easy recoil due to the weight. If I was starting again I’d look for a LH Winchester M70 or I’d get a Ruger Hawkeye African in 375 Ruger.

Good luck with the search! PM if you need some reloading stuff to get started for your safari- I have some 300 grain A-Frame’s and Barnes solids gathering dust along with some dies.

Minty fresh
Shoots with no magnum recoil using the attached brake

Amazing value these guns right now

I think 375 is cheaper to run! I have a 416 Rem Mag as well and the cost of factory ammunition compared to 375 factory is surprising. ( I use PPU soft point factory which seems pretty good on red deer)
