375 scope help

Good morning,
My left handed CZ550 375 came with a really nice Schmidt and Bender 1.5-6x42 in fixed rings but it had no room for adjustment due to the size of the CZ receiver. I ordered left-handed Alaska Arms quick detachable 30mm rings but alas the scope is too short to fit. What straight wall 30mm scope can you recommend for use on 375HH ? From what I’ve seen the Leupold 1.5-5 has a 1 inch tube diameter so won’t work with my rings.
Thank you.

Depending on budget etc I’m sure the answer is anything from the top tier makers e.g Schmidt, Swaro, Leica, meopta and ZEISS and take a careful look at their dimensions online to see if you have the room to manoeuvre that you need

I’d be tempted by the 1-8x24 exos. I own the the 3-21x50 and love it. Would seem a very solid scope for a very solid rifle

I had no issues with Swarovsk habicht or Z6i’s on CZ550. Both 1.5-5x24 30mm tubes. Just sold a leupold which would have been fine as well I suspect but I haven’t sat one on the CZ, but it fitted a Sako 375 action

I have no experience with your choice of mounts though, are they extended or just straight up normal rings not offset at all?
I’m looking closely at the Leica 1.5-6.3 x 24 which looks amazing and sensible money. The cheaper leupold (non illuminated) are good but all 1 inch tubes. If you can cope with only 4x mag (too low for my liking there is this one:

I have a Burris signature 1.5 x 6 on my 375HH. Its never moved, always bang on and a well built scope that has never let me down. I bought it in the states a few years back now for around $1,200 at the time if my memory serves me correct.

I have a Swarovski Z8i 1.7-13.3 x 42 on my .375H&H
It's a really great scope with, really flat clear image
At the low end magnification it looks like open sights in that I can comfortably keep both eyes open without seeing any distortion within field of view.
Handy to have the 13x mag at times too
A bit on the pricey side though.

As Kjm041 said, it might be better/cheaper to change the mounting system rather than the scope

I have the Swarovski Habicht 3- 12 x 50 on my 9.3 x 62 on QR Leopold mounts (that's all I had left over in my cabinet)

I keep looking with envious eyes at Swarovski's z6i 1 - 6 or z8i 1- 8 but to be honest the 3 power is just fine even for quick snap shots close up

I do recommend QD so that the option to revert to open sights is there for thick bush

Thanks for the info guys. I agree it would be easier to keep the S&B but the only company I’ve found so far that make left hand QD rings for the CZ550 is Alaska Arms.

I have a Meopta R2 1-6x24 on my .375.

To my eyes just as good as the Swaro, Zeiss or Kahles offering and roughly half the price.

Mine sits in Warne QD rings, but the Alaska Arms look almost identical, so should work fine.

Cheaper to find new rings than buy a new scope mind.

At circa £1300 it’s next to no different in price from a Z6i...... I know which is probably go for if given the choice

If the level of your shooting on the last DG course is anything to go by - a recommend from you is not to be taken lightly

Usually I go on price in the absence of knowledge - so I shall give it some serious thought
