For Sale: 384x288 Thermal Scopes for £399

Great news for everyone who bought this scope from us recently - we discovered a way to perform a firmware upgrade that SIGNIFICANTLY improves functionality of the scope.
Most important changes that it provides:
1. Miles easier zeroing with ability to freeze the frame and then adjust the crosshair.
2. Zeroing profiles, where you can have your reticle calibrated to different distances.
3. Wider selection of reticles, including graduated ones.
4. Proper battery gauge when using rechargeable 3.7V batteries that we recommended above.
5. WiFi enabled - you can see the feed from the scope on your phone and copy files wirelessly.
6. Multiple languages, and significantly improved menu system.
7. Much faster startup time.

To install the upgrade you need to download firmware here: https://webassets.hikmicrotech.com/global/asset/92e16624d72a47649e65ed1643a7e1a8.zip

1. Unzip the downloaded package, and locate a file called digicap.dav
2. Remove the battery, connect the scope to a computer with the supplied cable.
3. Copy digicap.dav to the root directory of the scope drive.
4. Power down the scope with the button, and then power it up again.
5. The scope will boot for about 20 seconds, and then display "Updating..." in the middle of the display. Let it run to completion.
6. Then the scope will reboot, and in about 30 seconds it will report "Updating firmware...". Let it run to completion, it takes about 10 minutes.
7. The scope will reboot again. Go to the menu (new menu already) and press down 12 times, until you reach "Reset..." option. Perform a reset. It will say that reset has failed in the end, but it is needed to complete the process anyway.
8. Power down the scope and power it up again. It will display HIKMICRO as the boot logo and signify that upgrade was successful.

All new purchases from today will be supplied already upgraded.

Could you give some guidance on the hardware required to use it as front add on?
The current eyepiece needs to be replaced with a different one, specially designed to convert the scope into an FA. This is required in order to maintain unity magnification at 1:1, which is a necessary condition for the FA to preserve the day scope’s point of aim.
We are expecting to receive these eyepieces any day now for testing before offering them to customers.
The second step will be mechanically connecting the FA to the day scope or installing it in front of the day scope if you have extended rail. We will offer several mounting solutions, depending on your day scope’s objective diameter and the specifics of your firearm.

It will be delivered with the new firmware already installed. However, if you would like to connect both of your thermal devices to a mobile app, please use the HIKMICRO Sight app. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play by searching for HIKMICRO Sight.

Hi there - do you know the approx cost if your testing works out, of the front add on adaptors? Will certainly buy a unit if it is expected to be reasonable.

We should have an update on this next week. The cost will certainly be very competitive.
The main challenge is to finalise it both optically, ensuring there is no shift of POA, and mechanically, ensuring it can connect to numerous interfaces and different day-scope objectives. We are working on it.
