410 pistol

Thinking of selling this but after various asks whats it worth or any ideas ime struggling, so belgium 410 double barrel hammer and its chambered 2 3/4, it had a wooden ball end original stock but had a crack so i had one cast in aluminium and gunsmith fitted and painted black,12" barrels and section 1 for rats round buildings etc, ive only shot it with 2" shotshells and it is what it is,good condition but pics can be supplied, its not a tuckaway ive been told and its better in the hand than a bond i know ive shot them both so any ideas of what its worth.

If it were a shotgun I would suggest somewhere between £200 and £300 depending on condition.

However having reread the post its a FAC requirement so probably quite a bit less given lack of demand.

Have trawl through the Holts Archives to get an idea.

I would say in the region of £400, when I was in hunt service (5 years ago) decent ones were like hens teeth, to the point it was easier and cheaper to have a gunsmith make one from a .410 shotgun.

They still are like hens teeth especialy doubles, i waited nearly 2 years to get this one and it was only becouse of where it was that it was still avaiable gunsmith out in the sticks up in scotland and he had bloody two.

What is the reach on rats with it?

I dont know realy did a bit of practise on tin cans up to 15 and 20 yards rats i shoot round barns are up to 5 to 8 yards or less, but running rats as they do were easier to hit than i thought the pistols well balanced and easy to shoot same with ferals and ive not got it lisenced for himane in traps but i know a few that have, same as anything i suppose handy if youve got a use for it and if they let you have it.

Exactly same gun on guntrader £500, in the pics it has a kind of trigger guard spur mines been removed as it obviously got in the way, its been removed and reblued so you cant tell but ile put mine up for same and see what happens thanks for the comments.
