Needed for a Belgian folding .410, this is a flat spring 43mm x 9mm with a drilled hole at one end approx 7mm from the end, any size bigger than this I can grind to size, I have tried to use a piece of old mag spring, however I was unable to drill through without breaking.
I know I can buy one from TW Chambers bit the price of them is more than the gun is worth, at the moment its used for HD of livestock and RTC casualties (deer, not people)

Use 1095 HC steel stock ( other grades work but it needs enough carbon) . anneal the stock and do all your cutting and drilling . Shape the part , harden ( use a magnet if your not used to colour changes) , when the magnet no longer sticks .... plop it in very salty water . Then temper to a deep dark blue you can do this in a domestic oven , clean it up test it a few times and fit your lovely new part !
OR send your broken part to chambers or another person who has the know how and pay them for their time !
Perhaps a second-hand single 410 could be found much cheaper before the remaining are melted down?
