Pat are you coming to the Pub for a couple of PINTSThe quicker imperial units are banished to the history books the better! Yes USA We are looking at you![]()
Yes.Probably even more confused now. Can somebody talk to me like I'm a 2 year old and tell me if TPI will fit my unEf threaded barrel![]()
How do you get through the week lolProbably even more confused now. Can somebody talk to me like I'm a 2 year old and tell me if TPI will fit my unEf threaded barrel![]()
TPI stands for Threads per inch. It's just a measure indication, not a standard like UNEF or DIN.Probably even more confused now. Can somebody talk to me like I'm a 2 year old and tell me if TPI will fit my unEf threaded barrel![]()
So long as a litre cost the same as a pintPat are you coming to the Pub for a couple of PINTS

What are you wages/pension/savings in Bob GBP or Metric EurosSo long as a litre cost the same as a pint![]()

Surprised me to find Bergara use an Imperial thread for barrel muzzles. It is just maths not confusing
Imperial is measured in the number of VVVVV per inch
Metric is the distance per V-V
5/8 is an imperial size so they quote a Threads per Inch so your thread is 5/8 unEf (e stands for extra fine)
5/8 0.6250 24 0.5979 0.5754 0.5799
Metric fine pitch is quoted in mm so as an example M 15x1
M14x1.25 14 12.647 M14x1.5 14 12.376 M15x1 15 13.917 M15x1.5 15 13.376
[th]
Thread x pitch

Major diameter

Minor diameter female thread

Maybe they can't cut an imperial thread as their long beards get in the way changing the gears around lolSurprised me to find Bergara use an Imperial thread for barrel muzzles.
Maybe the USA sales dictate dimms.
Ken.

Things have advanced a little since the changing gears days when making firearms….in some places anywayMaybe they can't cut an imperial thread as their long beards get in the way changing the gears around lol
