6.5 PRC powder choices, Staball HD?

I have been probably over complicating things but I was under the impression Staball HD is good for 6.5 PRC (24”) it is in the Hornady reloading app and others. However in Gordon’s reloading tool it looks like it has a relatively low burn rate of around 91% compared to other choices? Should I look at getting another powder, I haven’t bought the Staball HD yet just on order. Is it too slow for the 6.5 PRC? Looking to shoot 143gr and 130gr lead and 115 and 127gr coppers

I can only go on what I've used and get good speed and accuracy out of and that's RS70.

There's a few using RS60 too as far as I've seen recently. I haven't used this in the PRC, and don't feel the need to.

130gr lead I'm achieving 3250ft/s
127gr non lead I'm achieving 3150ft/s
With a 25" barrel.

Staball looks OK for heavier 6.5PRC bullets in principle - but the lighter ones will certainly benefit from a faster powder. I fear you will not get the best from the rounds with one powder. I use RS76 for the heavier bullets and RS60 for lighter

Cheers much appreciated! I will
Play around in Gordon’s reloading tool today and work out what’s best. Staball HD had a low burn rate for most 6.5 weights.

I think N565 could be a good fit? I think it is odd that Staball HD is listed as for 6.5 PRC it the burn rate is only 91% even on a 24”

I am going to use rs70 and rs60 i think from looking at GRT seem a good fit. RS76 was nearly a full case a think when I did the numbers.

I tried RS70 with the 143,s, and couldn't get the speed I was looking for in the prc, and I run RS60 in my Gaymore, and it works well with 123 copper.
