I have just loaded some 6.5 creedmoor using superformance powder and Barnes 127gr LRX. I have used the Barnes reloading data which says O.A.L 2.75”. The mouth of the case is over one of the cannelures. Until now I’ve been using 143gr ELD-X and I normally do a light crimp with the Lee factory crimp die. Can I crimp over a cannelure?
A have loaded up to 45gr of superformance, which the data says is compressed but I can still hear a bit of movement when I shake. The data is also for the 130gr TSX with O.A.L 2.70”. Could it be that that would be compressed but the 127gr at 2.75” is not?
