I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, maybe?
Looking at working up a 150gn TSX/ TTSX load for the .308.
Have a great load for my .223 using CFE223 and 55gn sierra SP and the same powder rates very favourable for 150gn jacketed SP in .308 according to the Lee manual. This is something I will be exploring too as I've been using Sako 150gn factory in my rifle, I picked up a couple of boxes of Sako with the rifle and it groups under an inch so I just kept using them...
Lee also rate CFE223 for the 150gn 'solid Barnes X' highly in their tables.
Looking at the Barnes data, they only list CFE223 for the 150gn MPG, the 155gn Match Burner and TSX/TTSX from 165gn up...
Hodgeson only have data for the Barnes 168gn TTS
I'm pretty confident I can work up a 150gn lead option with out too much problem using CFE223, but does anyone have any experience loading 150gn Barnes in .308 using CFE223?
I know I could just go for Vhit N140 and work up a lead and Barnes option but I have a steady supply of CFE and it meters beautifully...
If it's possible to stick with one powder, that would be great.
Cheers in advance
