Got some of the new yew tree 6mm 80 gn tlr bullets of Richard last week to try .
Done a load work up for my 6xc yesterday and settled on a load at 3300 ft/sec,
6 different powder weights tried and groups were all around 1/2” and a seating test tightened it even further so happy days
Shot a roe buck this morning @ 353 yards and purposely kept away from shoulder to test expansion ,bullet entered behind shoulder (between ribs) and exited right in arm pit on off side with a nice 1 1/2” exit deer went about 15 yards before dropping dead .
Next one I get il put it through scapula or front shoulder and see how much difference the extra resistance from bone makes .
Only one pic as the midges were horrendous
