Hello all. Does anyone have any subsonic load data for 7.62x39 please? Maybe with clays, unique etc. hoping to use a 180gr cast bullet on indoor range.
Cheers

Have played a bit with sub loads. Unfortunately no experience with the powders you mentioned, but with Vihtavuori products I have had good results with the following.

H&N 180 gr .312" copper plated bullets, coal 56,0 mm/ 2,205"
Standard large rifle primers, have never experienced the need to open up flash holes.

5,4 gr VV N310, 979 fps
7,1 gr VV N32C , 989 fps

Shot from a bolt- action rifle, 18" barrel.
Accuracy 1-1,25 moa @ 50 m.

Fieldwalker, do you shoot a self- loading rifle? In that case, the powders mentioned here would not produce enough gas pressure to cycle the action.

Have you tried .30- diameter bullets? Opens up the selection.

The tests performed on my and my friend's rifles showed no discernible difference in accuracy compared to .310/ .311 sizes. Slightly lower velocities, probably due to gas leakage past the projectile, but nothing else.
