Hi, help wanted when loading for my 7mm rem mag, basically full length case sizing !! we all may be aware that the belted magnum can expand at the base , I bought a die from the states to size the bottom where the belt is, no problem I hear you say, well some of the cases will chamber some wont, this is after sizing the base, it takes it in 1000 if i'm right, but I do a batch of 50 trying different loads etc, and some will not chamber at all.

Any ideas, I've watched youtube until I think ive got it , but obviously i'm missing something , I don't have this problem with my 308, 243 , 6.5 or 257

so any help please or advice

Get a Shell holder -2 tho of what you have now or mill off yours by 2 tho , I bet you it will help or a small base body die both will add the reduction of that 1 tho ring .

Mark them with a sharpie and rechamber to see where they are sticking
What FL die are you using and how is it set up?

Don’t follow the instructions to FL size, progressively increase depth of case until it only just clears the shoulder
The body die is not usually needed unless brass quality is low and multiple firings of high charge loads are being used
The heavy taper and belt are designed to allow extraction on even the worst expansion situation in the heat of DG battle.

How many firings and what brass?

have used the 7mm rem mag for over ten years and never had a problem max loads 162gheads ten reloads then bin them  the necks split never had a problem with the belt all cases fulley sized

Hi , guys my thanks, I've been away so not had a chance to reply, well all once fired sako or hornady brass, but its only the odd case, I haven't a milling machine but I can get it done, the advice is sound and I will try it, I've never had this problem before on all my reloading's,
it would seem if you watch on you tube its a common problem, they are not hot loads as the 7mm is a tasty round anyway
