I have used Fox 130 Classic Hunter factory loads in my 7mm-08 for several years. They work well on reds - (I don't shoot roe).

but may i ask at what cirka impact velocities this is expected to potentially happen at ?

On a similar note would appreciate any copper advice for my Sako .308? Just fallow and roe at the moment so trying to find a balance. Am using the sake power blade but at 162gr I have a feeling that’s pretty punchy. Outfitter Hornady seemed a bit wild at zero and had much better results accuracy wise using a not well known Wappiti brand available locally at Reigate. Recently extracted a powerblade round from a donor fully intact with no petal shearing, hadn’t hit anything hard. Welcome any thoughts.
162gr is too heavy for me in 308 for anything in the UK
run 130-150gr in 308 especially with short barrels

Why light?
Another satisfied user of the Fox factory 130gr out of my 7mm-08 here, killed every Fallow I've shot at so far cleanly.
I shot 120 grain and 140 grain for a few years sold it about 16-17 years ago? It was a PITA to get factory ammo or anything but nosler or serra bullets Mixed brands / designs . Unless your looking for something in copper you will be good . I don't remember the twist rate it was a Tikka

Sorry bit of a resurrection. Hoping to collect a S&L in 7mm08 in the near future. Planning to reload, fox 130gr is top of my list. Heading to the stalking show, so hopefully @Edinburgh Rifles will be there to buy some heads from.
Any other stand out recommendations?

Barnes 120gr TTSX would be my choice if I was shooting a 7mm08.

Not sure as I get a mate with all the reloading gear to do them for me. I know it's 41.5 grains of powder in Winchester brass if that helps.
