8mm Mauser

As a big fan of older things (ask Ladtpy FB) I always look forward to taking my 8mm and 7.62x54Rs to the range for a bit of real fun after the serious shooting has finished. However like many I am finding it increasingly difficult to source bullets and/or powder which meet my requirements.
On the basis that I do have some bullets but a rapidly reducing quantity of Viht N140 I would really like to switch to my more plentiful N160 for the Mauser 8mm but load information is pretty scarce - my Lee Reloading book does give some data sooooo I would be very grateful if anyone out there with access to one of those load calculator thingies could run 198gns bullets with charges of 50 and 53gns of N160 through it, please?

The Viht website does have loads fir 200gn bullets with N160

Just checked my Hornady 10th edition - only N140 and 150 with 8x57.

Thanks H - I had seen the 200 gns loads and they were my default if nothing came up in 198gns.
Much obliged - looks like 50-53gns is fine.

Here S&B bullets they are all showing 196 grains not 198.

If you need more weights running through GRT just PM me, what rifle is it and how long is the barrel?

I think you’ll find in reality that N160 is too slow for 8mm, see the note at the end of the load data above - Low burn rate.
