That's because the dealer is used to dealing with thick currents....What happened to the guy when in with his local firearms dealer asked for 30 cal 168 gn heads?
He left with exactly what he asked for..![]()

its funny, you are educated enough to fabricate all sorts of stuff, you know what things are called and your intelligents gets questioned?Pretty good, I'm in good company
Presumably they left with 30 cal 168 gun bullets. I used to be a fish and game merchant and was once asked for a pound of herion. The customer left with a pound of herring, not what they asked for but what I knew they meant. I didn’t correct them. What happened to the guy when in with his local firearms dealer asked for 30 cal 168 gn heads?

Fork handles rubber plugs (13amp)I was in a dealership a while back and the guy in front of me asked for some "223 bullet heads" after he'd gone ... I asked if they had some "257 bullets" and he asked if I had any preferences and how long i'd been reloading etc etc.
I asked him why he didn't question/correct the guy asking for 'heads'.
He said that it was a waste of his time, he's tried before and people had argued with him, he also added that he really wouldn't trust anyone who called bullets, 'heads' to properly know what they are doing.
I can imagine that some would say "I saw it on the internet so that's what they're called".
I've yet to hear someone argue that "I saw them called heads on the Stalking Directory and they're experienced and know what they are talking about", but I bet it does happen (dissapointingly).
I guess it's down to if you want to be a forum full of jockular banter, piss taking and missinformation or if you want to be part of a group that educates, informs and encourages new people into the field.
My money is the ones objecting about "heads" are more alike the chap being played by R CorbettYou lads are a blast....be great crack at a wake i'd say....safe and fruitful shooting..![]()
I can imagine the phone call tomorrow coming in as they open.Just saying...they sell a lot of heads...![]()
