My book was published a little over a year ago, and have enjoyed sales of just over 1000, which I’m happy about.
Many of the PMs I’ve had have been from new stalkers. They’ve said the book has helped them enormously in starting out, which pleases me immensely.
The ‘Stalkers Year’, ‘After the Shot, to the Larder’ and ‘Diseases & Inspection’ chapters seem especially popular, as apparently such information is thin on the ground from one publication.

It is unashamedly a practical book, from the crossover experience I have from being a licensed slaughterman and red meat inspector, as well as a deerstalker - I have an average yearly cull of around 100 each of the last 26 years (varying from 87 to 132). I believe I’ve learnt much along the way and am happy to share my experiences.
This being the case, I thought I would (with permission, thanks Malcolm) move the post from Classified - Other Items where it gets buried quickly as new posts come along to here, Training Courses and Materials.
I do hope the book will continue to help ease new stalkers into deer hunting, no matter if for sport or population control, and to be a reference for those more experienced stalkers.
You can order in here, or through Amazon, I believe.

The Complete Deer Stalker.webp

Thoroughly recommend this book, well written, practical and highly informative especially regarding what happens after the shot.
Written from a different prospective than most stalking books, Definitely fills a gap on the market.

excellent book, I’ve got a copy (though I’ve yet to read much of it!) the diseases and inspection chapter is worth it alone

Yes me too. I have several deer stalking and management books and it’s good to see yet another unique approach, this time from a meat inspector.

bought one , not finished it but its definitely worth the money on the meat inspection side alone , theres stuff there i will likely never see but at least it gives me a clue to what it likey is
