A1decoys high seat

I had two free standing ones and they did the job fine but won’t last long if left outside all year. Mine rusted out in about two years. If used for short periods and then stored dry they will obviously last much longer.

Just a little thought on this sort of equipment, If I were buying, first thing I want to see is "Galvanised", next is a decent skin or wall thickness, buy once, buy well.
Yes Galvanised or powder coated is the way to go if you want a long life out of them

Get the portable 1 ,lives in my shed when not in use ,basically a telescopic ladder with seat frame .Aluminium so rust free .
Otherwise plans on here for very good wooden ones on here .atb

Bought 3 about 5 years ago, bolts were too small and had to replace, all box sections rusted through, absolute shite.
Not A1 decoys fault but they are not up to the job, especially if you are plump.

Mine lasted about 4 years but then I tried to move it and it collapsed.
A cheap solution if you want it for just a year or two but won't last much longer.

I have one. They are good if used (as outlined above) occasionally and stored well between use. If left out they will not last long. If you pay attention to welds and areas of high corrosion with a good outdoor paint you’ll get more life out of them.

I bought there free standing one last year, it’s ok and done what I needed quickly, however, the rail is pretty poor position wise, and it’s fairly light weight box and I don’t see it lasting very long, but for the money it served it’s purpose.

See my post (sometime ago granted) about how to make the rail rock solid with two short DIY flat metal bars.

There you go.

I don’t find it flimsy, I do however find it far to narrow a window for shooting, could do with more to the left and right, but more of a problem than those is the fact it’s a terrible shooting position, too low when I’m sat in the seat so I find myself sliding arse out the seat to get body lower for the rest when the shot comes.
Having followed your link it looks quite a bit different to the free standing one

Got a portable one as well. As above it lives in my garage or boot of the car when not being used. Very useful to move about and takes 5 mins to put up and take down. Supplements the perm high seats I use.
