Action or 360 cameras

I am considering to get action or 360 camera for hunting. Anyone here using one? Would like to hear some suggestions which models to get?

I am leaning towards Insta360 Ace Pro 2 but have been wondering should i just get 360 camera.

I'm assuming this is for recording you while stalking or sitting about or maybe a time lapse of a gralloch etc? The wide angle lens wont capture any detail beyond a few metres and for the slower speed associated with deerstalking I'm not sure an action camera would be best.

I've got a GoPro and gimbal which is ideal for close up shots or filming a time lapse gralloch and editing into a video with clips from a scope cam of deer or the shot.

Will be using it while stalking/sitting but also when hunting birds with pointing dog and moose/deer driven hunt. Maybe also stills if image quality is better compared to my phone.

I have the DJI Action 4. It's great as an action camera but, as @nun_hunter says, these type of cameras typically come with an ultra wide-angle lens - mine has a 12.7mm f2.8 lens.

Because of the perspective this type of lens brings I think you'll be lucky to consistently catch birds being flushed by the dogs, unless you attach it to the dog rather than to you.

To get an idea of what I mean, there's a video here shot on the same camera by someone duck hunting in Louisiana. If you forward to about 3:40 in you'll see he takes a shot at an incoming duck. The duck ends up pretty close, but you still struggle to make them out.

It's hard to find any videos of deer taken when someone is actually wearing an action camera, but here's one with a roe deer running away:

I'd be surprised if the deer was more than 50m away when filmed, and was probably a good bit closer.
