Hi just after some advice please. I’m trying to mount a 3-9x36 scope on a Sako 75 action 1. The extra low optilocks aren’t very low, will Sako specific Warne mediums be lower ? Unfortunately Warne have discontinued the Sako specific rings so I cannot find out the manufacturers clearance data. Cheers

I had wondered about those, the advertising for them is confusing - its hard to tell if they make them for the traditional Sako tapered dovetail.
They are made for the sako dovetail. Ringmounts rather than rings and bases will get you a bit lower. Three heights in one inch if I recall correectly. Leupold also do one piece ring mounts for sako dovetails.

They certainly used to make one-piece Optilock ringmounts for SAKO tapers.
I've just measured a 1" set, and they would put the 'scope about 1.4mm lower than 1"extra-low ring+base combination.
Appreciate you taking the time to check that measurement, I will have another look at those and see how much lower I can go with bolt clearance. Many thanks

Hi Takbok, Thank you for the reply - that looks a good solution, really appreciate your kind offer, I will certainly bear it in mind :)
No problem at all

Here are the heights of the DNZ mounts:

Height of mounts from top of receiver to centerline of scope tube is – low .94″, medium 1.06″, and high 1.19

There's a medium height mount available for about £30 in the UK.

I don't think you'll have any issues with bolt clearance.
