I have a t3x superlight which is fine, but head position on the stock is difficult for my Alpex 4k. I’d rather not change the rifle as it’s only had 200 ish rounds through it, but it’s not ideal in current guide and to be honest is putting me off using it.

Any suggestions for alternatives would be appreciated, I’d like as much adjustability as possible whilst keeping weight at a minimum, also as it’s a relatively cheep hun I don’t want to spend a fortune so carbon fibre is likely out

Thanks

I added a varmint cheek riser (pinched off a spare stock) to a T3 lite stock, and with the correct height rings the alpex sits perfectly and a get a good amount of cheek contact.

I had similar on my savage, and added one of those wrap around Velcro things which has a pocket in to add something to raise comb height. I added some cut down pipe lagging inside the pocket. Works great and you can stick some rounds in it when foxing etc.

You’re best option with keeping weight and cost down would be a plastic factory stock with adjustable cheek piece, you can also buy length spacers if necessary. They are not that different in weight to a carbon pse stock and dramatically cheaper

Thanks, I was looking for something more permanent really, also feels like I need to add ‘cast’

I think it is still worth making a comb raiser out of foam and taping it in place, you will then know how much rise you need and because your head will possibly be less "rolled over" you might need to adjust your cast assessment.
