aigle wellies

Hi, all you aigle wellie wearers just wondering what sort of fittings they have, if you buy should you go up or down a size as i am a small uk 7 ?
Regards Neil

I have wide feet, and in a really well fitting shoe I can wear a 10.5. Aigle bill their Parcours ISO size 45 as being 10.5. They fit me very nicely WITH a pair of thick Meindl socks. My advice would be to try a pair on, if you can, but if you intend to wear them with thick socks then go for your actual size. If I wear mine with normal thin cotton socks they feel a bit sloppy.

I'm a size 10 in walking boots and trainers and bought a 10 aisle wellies and they fit fine, they are quite hard to get on but once my foot Is inside there is no slopping around. where as my Hunter 10's slop around quite a bit.

Drummerboy,

I do know that "fittings" on wellies play havoc with your fly-line.! Bloody straps guaranteed to tangle and spoil an otherwise perfect cast.

However , according to my 19 year old son. Aigle are the "in-vogue" wellie these-days. All the best people are sporting Aigle this season .

Apparently my 8 year old Le Chameau Chasseur wellies which my wife bought me ( I would never spend more than £30 on wellies btw !) make me look like a townie! Grrrh.

(Sorry if this didn't help you but I had to say it :))

Good luck with the Aigles.

You will be extremely lucky if you get them to last eight years now, they are just not the quality they used to be sad really.

Still going fine as it happens. 8 years ago they must have been made better ? I don't wear them too much, I prefer boots and gaiters if i can be arsed to put them on!
Actually it's getting them off I struggle with :old:

I’m a size 10.5 and find mine rub a bit with thin socks but are fine with thick socks. Trouble is they are 5mm neoprene instead of 3mm so can get very warm with thick boot socks on too

Agree about the fly lines! My le chameaus have surpassed my expectations, and still going strong after 3 years hard wear. Won't be long now!

I have Aigle non zip and juts have my usual size in shoes but i don't really like them - really hard to get off at the end of the day and i cant help but think that over time this yanking and pulling very hard will cause a failure in the sole / boot join.

Le Chameau every time for me

I have used Aigles, both Wellington and waders for years. I take size '8's in everything shoe/boot related. I find the Aigles in size '8' fit fine !

My Le Chameaus are now 10, yes 10 years old, I have just got back from walking the dog in them. Yes, I am pi*s wet through.

They are the ones with the calf skin inner, hand made on the thigh of a French Virgin apparently. The best, by far, Wellington boot I have ever owned. They have taken a real hiding too.

I like Aigle too.

For over 20 years I used to wear Aigle wellies but they have changed the leg fit now and as I have matchstick legs I can't wear them any more, much too wide for me now. So come on Aigle don't forget us thin people.
