If you have a scope sight with an illuminated dot, and you keep both eyes open, you can shoot with the front lens cover closed.

depending on your eyes, that may or may not work. When using a true red dot, one eye sees the dot and the other eye sees the target and the brain combines the two, I got a difference of 8 inches at 100 yds between shooting through the sight,
