just watching this TV programme,
4 of them out each with a rifle, after deer,
they took 3 shots to stop a deer, then had to run to it and shoot at close range,
mrs bob is disgusted, had to explain thats not how its done over here,

Thats not how it is done over here either but a camera crew following a seasoned outdoorsman apparently doesn't make for "good" tv. Following an idiot however seems to provide an endless source of tension, drama and entertainment.
With respect when the filming of pheasants being thrown into the air straight from a cage off a tower to a line of guns or birds being placed then walked up an shot from a few yards portrays quite a carp image.
The films of game wardens setting up "whitetail" deer decoys and hunters stopping on the side of the road then shooting it is on line and just plain stupid.
Poaching deer happens here also hare coursing is very well documented.
if it is staged or not but there must be something behind it!
They can't do driven days like we can, mainly due to the amount of predators they have, no excuse, don't do driven or come over here and do it. If you watch some of their driven days (only slightly better than this version) the birds are released from a truck very much like racing pigeons into maize and driven directly over guns
