Alpex 4k crashed

Out tonight with my new scope and after my second fox the screen froze white so no image and no menus. Tried a shutdown and nothing happened. Scope was fully charged along with the external battery. Has anyone had this and is there anything I can try before I return it as I was really impressed with it's performance before this as it's a massive leap IMO compared to the pard 007 and 008

Never had this fortunately but am getting more than a little hacked off at the LRF & ballistic functions getting turned off when the scope isn’t used. Initially thought this was linked to me removing the external battery but it now seems to do it almost every time I’ve used it & then switch it on for the next session. It’s going back to Elite Optical just as soon as the doe season is over! - problem then will be that I won’t know whether it’s been fixed properly or not until November when I want to get back on the does!

I took the external battery out an it remained the same. Tried charging the internal battery with no joy so let it die overnight in the gun cabinet. Have started to charge it this morning and the scope now seems to work OK. Is it possible to remove the internal battery whilst out in the field?

Had the same problem with mine yesterday, screen locked on a multi coloured spectrum, wouldn't turn off, i removed external battery and kept finger on on/off button, eventually it turned off, left it 10 mins and turned it back on, seems okay now, but time will tell

There's no way to remove the internal battery in the field and if you try it with workshop tools you immediately void any warranty the scope has

Previous two outings had been fine for me but I updated the firmware at the weekend so wonder if there might be something in there. Are you running the latest firmware?

As an update, I've since been out two more times with it and haven't had any issues. One was a daytime zero check, 6 shots fired, and tonight on the foxes, 3 shots 3 kills. No issues at all so hopefully the crash was a one off as I'm loving the extra detail this scope gives me at night compared to my old pard 007

Pleased you have it sorted. My nephew has just purchased one... I'm still happily using a Pard 007 :scared::scared:.
Well done on the foxes, excellent result. I'm just in from a blank, briefly spotted one in some rough through the thermal, but that went deeper into the scrub, fingers crossed for the chickens tonight :norty:

This happened to me on the second time I used it, a simple off and on again and it cleared, hasn’t reoccurred since firmware update
