May I ask which model peli it is?Won't go far wrong with a dinky Peli case and some 20 round MTMs inside - unless the airline insist on 'manufacturer's packaging', in which case the MTMs also work if you handload.
I have the Trifibre one linked above and found it too bulky, so have a smaller Peli job that will hold 60 rounds.
Have you looked at the link I added? They are Peli in all but name, trust me I've owned both, you won't go wrong with them!
I've used a small cash tin within either the gun case or my other bag depending on airline regs
By not having it in manufactures’ packaging means that it has never been tested to meet these standards.
The carrier (airline) or handler (airport staff) can legally refuse to take your ammunition if it cannot be proved that it does not meet the criteria.
I strongly recommend that all ammunition carried is packed inside manufactures’ packaging. The reason being that the ICAO regulation for the carriage of dangerous goods allows up to 5 Kg (AUW) of sporting ammunition without having to complete the DGN airway bills.
However, this dispensation is dependent on the ammunition being of HD 1.4S and UN Ser 0012 or 0014.
