To all those that responded to the thread from Deer Assasin regarding the longest shot.

I do not want a discussion about ethics or anything else, this is just an invitation to anyone,epecially those that responded to the thread to come and have a fun day in aid of H4H and see both sides in action..

Format would be simple,May/June to be decided.
Two teams of 6
Arrive on range AM , safety briefing,zero rifle.
Lunch (unfortunately venison Burgers).
Afternoon, shoot targets,
Evening local pub for serious ribbing and banter.

ANY TAKERS!

 
I would be interested in that & it would help out a good cause.

Where about in Aberdeenshire would it take place?
 
Would have def come as done quite alot of charity work for H4H as am currently still serving and only recently moved back to Scotland and away to sunnier pastures soon for a few months! Hope all goes well and would be great if you could let me know of any future events. Regards Gordon.

What cailbre can you use, I would like to use my .300 Win Mag if possible and as long as it is not between 9th & 17th June, on holiday with Cruella.

What a great idea! What a great opportunity for the nay sayers and keyboard warriors to leave the safety of their homes and back up their words with some hard cash for a good cause!!!

PS Any chance of some goat curry instead of venison burgers??

Im up diving Scapa in June so if the dates worked out me and my mate would love to have some fun for a worthy cause..

Its looking like the first week in June(2/3rd).
Range can be out to 1/2mile.
Location of range is Moniaive, Dumfries & Galloway.

I can re-arrange the date, but let us just see how this pans out..
Looks like £20.00 per head to H4H

If someone could rig up a mechanical deer target that randomly lifts its head and takes off across the field - then, at 300 yds it's -200 points for a strike in the jaw area and +10 points for every subsequent strike they can get on the target as it races across the field! :lol:

No but seriously, sounds like a good idea, turn a slightly negative subject on here into a positive event for a good cause - can't argue with that! :thumb:

Sorry for the lack of response but I have been waiting for an minor operation that will render me useless for 6 weeks,like everything in the NHS its a waiting game.
