After yet another "upgrade" to my fishing gear (Paid for out of my busking tips) I have a complete "Budget" Mackerel fishing set up for sale. It comprises of the following:-
The rod is a Fisheagle Saracen )2 piece) 11 foot two piece rod rated to cast 1-3ounces which comes complete with it's original cloth rod bag.
The reel is a SeaXplorer 8000 sized loaded with new (Once used) 25 pound braid and a 38 pound shock leader - This reel comes complete with a spare spool and is in it's original box.
Both the rod and reel have only been used once for a short time (About an hour) last Sunday at Llandudno and as such both the rod and reel are unmarked and are in "As New Condition"!
To make the set up complete I will include some swivels, a few sets of (New) Mackerel Feathers and some 2 ounce weights so you are ready to take it out and start catching some mackerel.
(I have found that this rod performs best with 2 ounce weights and with this set up I can cast it over 100 yards without much effort.)
The rod cost me £27 (Including postage) from Glasgow Angling Centre, the reel cost me £19 from Paul's Angling Centre (On E-Bay) and the braid was another £8.00 so a total of £54.00.
This complete set up has only been used once for around an hour as such I feel that an asking price of £30 O.V.N.O. plus postage (Which will be around 7-8 pounds) is a very fair price to ask for this "as new" complete outfit.
