Anti-cut gloves.

A trip to the local minor injuries unit this morning has got me looking at anti cut gloves. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Butcher's sundries do similar ones. Same thing, nitrile glove over it. They'll stop cuts, but not if you poke the tip of the knife into your palm. Don't ask how I found that out.....

Think I need to buy some of these as I've recently managed to put a couple of slices across first a knuckle & then, on the very next gralloch, the ball of my thumb... VERY lucky with the knuckle

Tried them once but couldn't get on with them, having said that I would recommend that people use them yes.
have I ever cut myself? lots of times
have I ever stitched myself? yes more than once artery forceps and suture thread, usually no more than five not too difficult
glue is popular now.
i have cut tendons to, first stop A and E. definitely not a DIY job.

So after my friend go helicoptered of Islay to glasgow AandE I always have these in my left hand under a plastics glove arm length inspection glove.
I don’t bother with the underglove supplied or the wrist strap. I have tried the Kevlar cut resistance gloves but a knife point will puncture them. These are great keep one in my stalking kit and one in my butchery kit. Stainless Steel Metal Stab Resistant Glove Protection Gloves Safety Cut Proof | eBay
They don’t fall off like the old proper chainmail gloves either and way better than Kevlar

Pardon me for asking, and I am NOT talking down on ANYONE!!! But is graloch/ butchering not a fine art rather than “hacking” away at something with a knife?
How does someone cut himself so bad that a helicopter is involved?

I realise that, I also realised that I might have stepped on ties here and for that I apologise, no offence intended.

Ok this guy was an experienced stalker and guide for an estate. He shoots probably 60 hinds and 20 stags and a further 20 sika a year so no greenhorn. He has razor sharp knives and the bottom line is mistakes happen if you cut a tendon it’s off to A and E on the mainland. Personally I’ve seen to many stupid mistakes made by experienced people to not wear a glove.
I know plenty who won’t wear ppe with a chainsaw. I also know a professional chainsaw man with 25 stitches in his arm. **** happens if you think you’re immune good luck buddy.

Again, I am terribly sorry if I can across arrogant and offensive. This was NOT my aim.
In NO WAY do I think I am immune to ANY danger! Sorry to have made you feel this way.
