any info about fox pro callers

Strange foxes in Notts or you are not out enough.

They are brilliant, nearly every fox we shoot is called in.

I cannot stress enough how invaluable they are.
Have more success mouth calling tbh - but then im out of breath!!

I'll be trying it again tonight so 🤞🤞
Good luck .

Just keep trying different calls , chop and change , you'll be surprised.

If nothing shows within 1/2 hour move location and try again.

Let us know the result, I can feel it in my bones
......success 🦊

They usually have the ip water rating on them i think. IMO the real beauty of electro caller is being able to have fox attention away from your direction
Thats right, hand squeaking make them look right at you. Well ive had a few years without one, so lets see the difference using one.

I use a caller infrequently but when I do if possible I get it up off the ground so fence post hedge or wall. I actually mount mine on a Claymore stand if it's out in a field. It must be in a position where a fox will come up wind towards it.
I had several tutorials from Paddy and to watch one in action in Devon is just unreal. Watched a fox come in hundreds of yards to a red squirrel distress call. I think you need to ring the changes.
However I do use a Best fox call mouth call and it is at times an essential bit of kit.

I'm another one who hasn't had much joy with electronic callers. There is a time & place for them, but I can't say I switch it on and have foxes running from the next parish.
Not sure why, I know some people use them a lot, and have results.
These two are my favourites, I'm never without them.

Its finally arrived, yesterday, took 6 days to come, now need batteries. Had another long sit last night for no sightings, sat 8pm to 12;15 am, a long one. .

Let us know how you get on with the caller , of course they dont work when there's no foxes about 😂😂

I’m new to the electronic callers. Still have all my other calls and will still use them. The electronic callers do work. The first couple of nights I had foxes coming at me but they have to be interested. Friday night I was back out, saw two foxes on neighbours ground. Started the caller going and neither fox were interested. Wrong sound other things on their minds, been called before and know it’s dangerous? I’ll keep using it, nothings going to work all the time

I now call as a last resort. If I can walk into it, or cut it off, I will do that first. Foxes nowadays seem very switched on to calling and more often than not, calling them will make them run a mile. Don't get me wrong, if I cant get closer to them, or they're over the boundary, I will try a call and see what happens but its not my first tactic.

Finally shot one tonight, got into position in the little sheep shelter at 8pm, just before that topped up the bait with roadkill and set out the bestfox caller ISO tec, I see the red light is always on, and as there had been a heavy shower I put it in a clear plastic bag and kept the red light down side out of sight. Got in and started waiting, 8pm, sat and sat, it was like being in a wind tunnel in there tonight, wind coming blowing in through the window, saw a hare a coupe of fields away and a fat cat from the farm was there near the bait. thought id stay till 10pm and then go, just at 10 a fox came in, right up to the bait, the .243 did its job, and the 75grain vmax made a massive exit , theres some power with them. I used the caller a few times, I dont think theres the number of foxes here as last year , for 9 waits ive only had 2.
It was a bitch so always prefer them, dont know if it was a late cubber, certainly no obvious pregnancy, if it is in cub they are a long way off.. One less to bother the lapwings, which is the only reason why I sit out, to give them a better chance of rearing. A truly very attractive animal, . Lapwings 1 foxes 0. The next 2 weeks are important to take a few more into custody. After that its lambing time and ill be too busy.
