Anyine else using an alpine dachsbracke for tracking deer

I'm interested in this breed. How are you getting on with her, was she easy to train? Also, did you import your bitch from a breeder on the continent or find one locally?

I bought her a while back now she was bred over here in ireland but both parents were imports shes traking deer away not sure how to upload photos or videos on this lovely bitch around the child extremely soft natured loves retrieving the ball for the 3 year old

Alpenländische Dachbracke. Never buy a dog that you can't pronounce it's name when you've had a drink or three.
I've seen quite a few here and they seem quite useful for tracking.

If your bitches dam is called Hilda von Obereichtal I have her full sister over here.

@themole1990 . Kevin the breeder passed away a few months ago. Rip my friend
He used Hilda on red and sika

We got both of ours from the same breeder in poland. I have met Katarzyna last year in Birmingham when she went to crufts and Kevin at the stalking show. We where hopefully going to meet again this year . But it never happened

The other dog thats in southern Ireland was supposed to come from Italy .
But covid put a stop to that.
Katarzyna the breeder to our bitches found an unrelated dog pup in poland so this came over and is the sire to your bitch
There is one in Lincolnshire thats Thor from sweden. one in Devon Helga she is about 9 months old might be one in Cumbria both from Hungary
. Mine has been spayed as if she had any bitch pups what could you put across them. As the gene pool is so small.
There are other Alpine Dachsbracke over here rescues from Europe or brought over by families living here.
Some have the FCI pedigree others the hologram has been removed from the pedigree.

Katarzyna the breeder has been so helpful @snake_2586 made a knife for me specifically for the breeder her name and Kennel name on it.

AI is not cheap but the way to go. The breeder in poland might help as she wants to promote the breed
I was going to go down that route. But adult kids that will not take the hint to go.

We will not go into that. That's a cross I have to bear being with there mother.
