Anyone got a good stuffed marrow recipe?

Hi all,
I was in the farm shop today buying veg for the week when I saw lovely ripe marrows in a basket. In a flood of nostalgia I recalled my mother's stuffed marrow which was (like all of her cooking) delicious.
"I'm going to make stuffed marrow with venison!" I declared, and set about selecting one...

Problem is, it was probably 10 years or more since I last ate stuffed marrow, and aside from remembering it was lovely, I haven't really got a clue what goes in or how it's made. So, if anyone has a good recipe for a nice traditional hearty stuffed marrow dinner, please share it!

just like you my mum used to the best ever stuffed marrow , mince with tomatoes , bread sauce poured over it with proper home made chips !its a shame she is in spain indefinatly or I would get her to post it on here , good luck though and I for one will watch this thread !

My wife does a delicious stuffed marrow, with the marrows that I grow on the allotment. I have just asked her and she said to go on the BBC Good Food site and you will find some delicious recipes on there.

Both of you are as wrong as wrong can be. Courgettes are grim, tasteless watery, might as well have warm cucumber. Marrow is much better!

Come on Simon, marrows, courgettes and cucumbers all need the bin treatment?

Probably taste the same as your flood of nostalgia?
