I have a cz455 in 17HMR and its a great little gun - very accurate BUT the stock is a black flexible bag of ...... well its not very good put it that way! If i put a bipod on it the fore end can flex up and touch the barrel, generally the stock is just pretty average so I have been on the look out for a new one for it for a while. Has anyone here fitted an MDT field stock to a cz455? I can't find any pictures of how the mag interfaces with the stock and don't won't to have to ferret around up inside the chassis to change mags in the dark etc Any advice gladly taken, or even alternative suggestions? Its a field gun - so don't really want anything too heavy.

I've got a MDT XRS Chassis on my cz455 17hmr and finding the mag in the dark is no issue at all, the mag well is quite spacious and once your fingers go in to release the mag it's quite easy to find the mag latch.

Their rimfire stocks/chassis tend to be the same as CF just inlet differently i believe so the magwells are all quite roomy.

I can't comment on the CZ mag interface.

But I have just dropped my .308 Bergara into an MDT fieldstock and very happy. Improved accuracy and not a bad price

I only ordered last night the MDT xrs stock from Uttings as on offer, for my 457, so il let you know once that arrives, but i did fit the extended alloy magwell, when my plastic one shattered as the 17hmr exploded.

I picked up a Field Stock in Canada a couple of months ago and have had it fitted on a .308 .223 and currently a .17 Rem (Rem 700 inlet so can’t comment on the CZ aspect). I don’t think you can go wrong for the money - really solid and not too heavy. Built to a price point yes but you get a lot of features and performance for it. Be a great upgrade for a Rimfire.
