Hello there
I am just wondering if anyone has used these before and what the feedback is..
Mainly interested in whether they are actually waterproof or need to be treated constantly.. also how noisy they are against branches etc..

Cheers

I had some in DPM many years ago.Bought a smock and trousers at the CLA in '98 or '99
Still got the smock though with new membrane fitted. The trousers got binned after a short time.Sweaty and very clammy.Ok for sitting on a quad but any walking was a nightmare.

Thanks mate ,seems there's no perfect clothing haha !

Waterproof trousers are a hard one, plenty of trousers that are waterproof but could you spend a days hard walking in them?Ive yet to find a pair that work for me.
Very true ! I'm using ridgeline pintail explorer's at the moment which tbh I really like apart from tearing one knee on a fence and I've noticed some slight tearing at one belt loop but they are fine in any weather heat wise and are fairly water proof but definitely not 100% ,I guess it's a fine balance.. maybe I'm creating a problem that doesn't exist yet haha

I'm the same and am yet to find a pair of trousers that really work well. I'm wearing Harkila Pro Hunter X trousers at the minute, plus some older Harkila, and they all leak in one way or another but are relatively robust. Previously I was getting about a fortnight out of a pair of trousers.

Ive just got some shooterking silva , had them 6 months and so far so good. But while i can manage early morning or evenings in them theyre just too warm for all day use if im walking far.

I have some Shooterking silva as well. They are the best waterproof trouser I have tried. If I were to make one alteration to them it would be cooling zips like the fjallraven kebs but clearly this would have an effect on the waterproof qualities.

I use them in the colder months. If I'm doing a lot of walking then I put up with getting damp. Waterproof over trousers, even good ones are too noisy
