ASE Jet-Z Compact!!

Steyr, I was not the only one on the range to have a moderator fitted on a full-bore rifle on Sunday, other than the Jet-Z, and the Jet-Z was the stand out performer in noise reduction. Enough to be remarked upon by other range users too.

just a thought did any one ask what load he was putting through it?..to compare it like for like?...the t8 is like a beer can (full of beer!!) on the end of your rifle!!...would you be putting the jet on your 6.5 or .308..or one on each?....steyr.

Steyr, He was using factory loads, I was using my homeloads.

I will not be putting a Jet-Z on anything, I want a light weight moderator, that's why i said i will be buying the Roedale in the future.

I admit my T8 on the 6.5 is stamped .30 CAL, so noise will most likely be comparatively more from my T8 than from Anthony's Jet-Z on his .308. It was still remarkable though. But both will be safe from the EU noise reduction level regulation point of view.

But they are so much smaller than the T8, weigh a lot less too, but are more expensive. You pay your money and take your chances. Given the choice again I would buy a smaller, lighter, and an equally effcient moderator rather than a T8.

Where would be the best place to buy a second hand jet z compact in .308 m14 x 1? please help
Matt ( I imagine that's you, can't be too many people in Essex simultaneously after this mod s/h in that spec) I think you may have to get your head around the fact that a secondhand jetz compact will not be free or gift priced. ... but if that's not Matt; I have a jetz compact 14x1 boxed in mint condition (20rds fired); please drop me a PM.

Lol been rumbled speak to you soon brown dog infact I have sent you a pm waiting to here back???

I would echo the comments made elsewhere in this thread; the Jet Z is very effective. I use mine on a 300WSM and on the (few) occasions I've fired it without the moderator in place it's remarkable how quickly the next door benches empty! As you would expect, it also makes the rifle much more comfortable to shoot.
